Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 153, San Carlos, California!
Formed in 1989 and sponsored by the San Carlos Lion's Club, we are members of the Redwood District of the Pacific Skyline Council, Boy Scouts of America. We have a great program for boys in first through fifth grades. Most of our members attend Arundel Elementary and St. Charles Schools, but we welcome other Scouts in the area who are interested in joining Cub Scouting.
About Cub Scouting
Since 1930, the Scouts of America has helped younger boys through Cub Scouting. It is a year-round family program designed for boys or girls who are in the first grade through fifth grade (or 7, 8, 9, and 10 years of age). Parents, leaders, and organizations work together to achieve the purposes of Cub Scouting. Currently, Cub Scouting is the largest of the BSA's three membership divisions (the others are Boy Scouting and Venturing).
The 10 purposes of Cub Scouting are:
Character Development
Spiritual Growth
Good Citizenship
Sportsmanship and Fitness
Family Understanding
Respectful Relationships
Personal Achievement
Friendly Service
Fun and Adventure
Preparation for Boy Scouts!
